Christmas on the Water

“We hope to help kids appreciate the coast and our hometown.” Continues Rusty. “And give you a sense of wellbeing, and that where you live is a really special place. I really feel that way about it.”

What adds an extra layer of charm to this event is that it’s free for all to enjoy. On the first Saturday of December, the Biloxi waterfront becomes a stage for this spectacular show, open to everyone who wishes to bask in the holiday spirit. It’s a wonderful yearly opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the Christmas season.

For the best viewing experience, we recommend positioning yourself between the Biloxi Small Craft Harbor and Casino Row or between the Biloxi Lighthouse and Beau Rivage Resort & Casino. These prime locations offer optimal vantage points to fully appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into lighting up these vessels upon the Mississippi sound. Even still, there’s no bad spot on the Biloxi beach to take in this sparkling display. Don’t forget, once the ships make their way back a dazzling fireworks show will light up the sky to mark the end of the parade.

“The fireworks show is J&M Displays,” Says Rusty. “They’ve been shooting our fireworks since 1986. What makes it so special is this time of year, after 4th of July, nobody sees fireworks.”

The Christmas on the Water Biloxi Boat Parade is a must-see event that seamlessly blends maritime tradition with holiday enchantment. It’s a testament to the creativity and fellowship of the Mississippi Gulf Coast, providing a magical experience for all who attend. Mark your calendars and join in the festive revelry on December 2nd, the first Saturday – an evening that promises to leave your family and loved ones with cherished memories and hearts full with holiday cheer.
