It’s a simple statement from lead guitarist Jake Fleetwood, but one that does well to sum up what the four piece rock cover band Wolfy Grin is all about.
The name “Wolfy Grin” itself implies a bit of mischief. After all, it’s a time honored rock and roll tradition to be loud, fun and in-your-face, and that’s what the band sets out to do with every show. They play a wide selection of rock and pop tunes spanning over five decades. Many are hugely popular hits, and some are less often performed in the cover band world, but every song that makes the cut has the same goal of connecting with the band’s audience from beginning to end. It’s high powered arena rock energy, scaled to fit your favorite local venues and party spots. They take over the stage, filling the space with a physical performance and bringing each song to life under the bright lights. “It’s a four hour break from your life. It’s four hours to go and forget about all your problems and just enjoy the music,” Jake said. “We want to be interactive with the crowd… we feed off that energy. We’re not background music.”
