Lil´Market Deli & Bagelry: Breakfast All Day!

Bagels are traditionally a northern staple from the Jewish community that eventually made its’ way around the world.   I have been a bagel fanatic ever since my trip to New York City, and am ecstatic to find the newest updates and give them a whirl.  My addiction as of now is the Asiago Bagel with cream cheese with chives, fresh tomato slices and bacon.  We had the Everything Bagel with a green onion cream cheese schmear, and it was wonderful!  Regular bagel options include plain, sesame, poppy, everything, onion, and cinnamon raisin.  The Specialty Bagel options are asiago, blueberry, jalapeno-cheddar or cranberry pecan.  They also offer a nice selection of Schmears -plain, green onion, jalapeno, garden veggie, sun dried tomato, and, the sweet ones of blueberry or strawberry.

So, you don’t have to be a bagel lover (what?!) to enjoy a meal at Lil Market, lol.  The array of breakfast sandwiches, burritos, bowls or plates sound amazing.   With a choice of bagel, croissant, or biscuit, of course they have the Old School – with cream cheese, smoked salmon, capers, tomatoes and red onion, and the New School – with Tay’s smoked tuna dip, dressed the same way.  The Oye Vey – with corned beef, Swiss, egg, and Russian dressing.  There is the El Chorizo – with chorizo, pepper jack, egg and southwest sauce, the Pork Roll Egg and Cheese, Steak Egg and Cheese, an Athena Bowl – eggs, spinach, red onion and feta, the Denver Bowl – eggs with peppers, onions, and cheeses.  The Market Plate – two eggs with toast or a bagel, hashbrown patty, sausage, bacon or ham steak, and Biscuits with scratch made sausage gravy, can also be upgraded to the Big Breakfast.  I hope that you can find exactly which breakfast suits your taste buds among the many options!

If you’ve arrived lunch, you are in for a treat!  Using Boar’s Head deli meats with a choice of ham, turkey, roast beef or corned beef, a choice of breads – sourdough, ciabatta, croissant, marble rye, wheat berry, or hoagie roll as well as flour or spinach wraps, and a choice of toppings and cheeses to build your own, or simply choose from the list of specialty sandwiches.  Options include the Original Italian – mortadella, genoa salami, pepperoni, lettuce, tomatoes, olive salad on rosemary ciabatta served hot.  We had the Spicy Italian – hot cappy, genoa salami, pepperoni, provolone with lettuce, tomatoes, Italian herbs, red wine vinegar, salt and pepper on a 8” hoagie roll.  This hoagie is served cold, I absolutely loved all the flavor profiles, what a great sub!  They offer a Reuben – served hot with corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss, house made Russian dressing on melted marble rye.  Sounds amazing, I will be going back for that very soon.  BLT – thick cut applewood bacon, lettuce and tomato on sourdough, and the Club – triple decker with ham, smoked turkey, bacon, provolone, lettuce and tomato on sour dough bread.  The Beef and Cheddar roast beef, white cheddar and horseradish sauce dressed on sour dough and the Southwest – served hot with turkey or ham, pepperjack, dressed with house made southwest sauce on ciabatta or wrap.  We had to have the Cuban – thinly sliced pork roast, ham, Swiss with mustard and pickles on a pressed Cuban style bread.  It was fabulous and one of our favorites to order when we can find it!  We also loved the Chicken Salad – house made with lots of goodies, we enjoyed it on the flaky, buttery, fresh croissant.  Any deli that doesn’t take advantage of having all these great deli toppings to do a great salad is just crazy!  Therefore, you can have a Chef Salad, a Greek Salad, or a Spinach and Pecan Salad.   Orens’ creations are always special, and sometimes he’ll do something extra special, for example – he marinated chicken shwarma overnight, and sold-out in a couple of hours, as did the “Jewfalatta” that he promoted a couple of weeks before.  Gotta love it!

If you are a foodie at all then you now the smash burger is all the rage right now.  Oren has taken the extra step in doing fresh ground burger daily for a mouth-watering experience!  Smash burgers are made of 100% beef, two patties smashed out on the grill with your choice of Hawaiian, sesame or potato bun, dressed upon request with another list of special burgers to choose from.  We had the Market Smash Burger – simply grilled to unbelievable perfection, topped with American cheese, caramelized onions and mayo, mustard on a Hawaiian bun.   Yum, yum, yum!  All of your favorite toppings are available, the Funguy – with sauteed mushrooms, Swiss and mayo, I love this ‘funguy’s” play on words, lol!  Listen to this: Brunch Burger – egg, bacon, American cheese, hashbrown patty and sausage gravy over these delicious smash patties, omg, what?!

So, please don’t wait as long as I did, this is definitely my new place to  bring a friend to, or not, there’s so much love here at Lil Market, go by yourself, be with yourself, share the love!
