The Mississippi Gulf Coast hosts numerous events throughout the year, making it a challenge to keep track of them all. From Scraping the Coast to Cruisin’ the Coast and everything in between, there’s always something happening. Coastal Mississippi takes pride in supporting and promoting these major events, ensuring that locals and visitors alike can enjoy the festivities. While we love to party, it’s Coastal Mississippi that makes it all possible.
Coast goers will remember the One More Day of Play campaign which launched last year. The initiative encourages visitors to extend their stay by an extra day, leveraging research from websites like Gas Buddy and Nerd Wallet. By inviting businesses across the beaches, shops, hotels, and restaurants to participate, Coastal Mississippi aimed to provide tourists with an incentive to explore the area for a little longer throughout the year. This year they continue progressing and engaging with our always booming coastal tourism industry.
“There’s nothing better than cruising up Highway 90, enjoying the 62 miles of coastline and all the great wildlife that goes with that.”
Judy Young, CEO of Coastal Mississippi Tourism.
“Our calendar is packed. If you’re looking for live music, there’s live music nearly seven days a week in any community in any location, in a theater setting, performance concert setting, or in restaurant setting. We have some really big names on the horizon like Guns N’ Roses. Some very high profile artists will be coming to the coliseum as well as to the casinos.”
Big entertainers and independent musicians alike stand to benefit from engagement with our coastal music scene. For those who love music and arts, there’s a lot of choices across the coastline. From the various museums to the plethora of restaurants, casinos, and venues there’s never a lack of options. There are always new events around the corner.
