A familiar nightlife destination has returned to the Mississippi Gulf Coast, but with an entirely new look, atmosphere, and experience.
Beau Rivage officially reopened EIGHT75 on Aug. 14 following an extensive renovation that transformed the longtime lounge into an elegant, contemporary destination for cocktails, conversation, and live entertainment. I attended a special preview the evening before the public opening, giving me an early look at the newly reimagined space.
Although EIGHT75 remains in its familiar location just beyond the casino floor, nearly everything inside has changed.

“The all-new EIGHT75 invites guests into an atmosphere where Southern sophistication, modern design, handcrafted cocktails, live entertainment, and exceptional service come together to create the Coast’s premier ultra lounge experience,” said Beau Rivage Director of Beverage Operations Bruce Cartwright.
Designed by Los Angeles-based Avenue Interior Design, the same creative team behind Beau Rivage’s Coraline’s restaurant, the renovated lounge blends the warmth of a classic Southern parlor with the energy of a modern nightlife venue. Deep burgundy tones, velvet drapery, patterned textiles, brass accents, and warm lighting give the space an intimate, sophisticated feel.
The approximately 3,000-square-foot lounge provides seating for 130 guests. One of its most striking features is a 41-foot marble bar surrounded by illuminated shelving, rich wood detailing, tiger-patterned bar stools, and a row of globe light fixtures.

The second focal point is the raised performance stage, framed by an oversized gilded clamshell. The dramatic feature creates a memorable backdrop for the live bands scheduled to perform at EIGHT75 seven nights a week.
During the grand-opening weekend, popular Coast cover band Triggerproof took the stage, bringing a high-energy mix of pop, rock, and hip-hop into the newly renovated space. The combination of live music, comfortable seating, and upscale design allows the lounge to feel polished without losing the lively atmosphere locals remember.

The drink menu received its own refresh, with eight signature cocktails alongside a full bar featuring spirits, wines, and beers.
My favorite cocktail of the evening was the White Lotus, served with cocktail caviar, small, boba-like pearls that added a fun texture and made the drink feel like part of the experience. It was creative, memorable, and unlike a typical cocktail ordered at a hotel lounge.

Other featured cocktails include the Blue Note, made with Ketel One Vodka, blueberry, lemon, and lavender. The Encore Espresso combines Patrón Reposado Tequila, espresso, demerara, banana, and vanilla crema, creating an unexpected take on the traditional espresso martini.
Bourbon drinkers can try the Barrel No. 875, made with Buffalo Trace Bourbon, spiced demerara syrup, and Angostura bitters. For a more theatrical experience, Smoke & Brass combines Sazerac Rye Whiskey, demerara syrup, Peychaud’s Bitters, and absinthe with applewood smoke.

Guests can also pair their drinks with Bar Provisions- small, shareable snacks created to complement the lounge experience. Options include house-made cheese and chive crackers, Biloxi Blonde beer nuts, gourmet olives, mango Tajín fruit jellies, crispy pasta chips, and a charcuterie jar featuring artisan meats, cheeses, and seasonal accompaniments. The crispy pasta straws were one of the most interesting things I tried. They were different from typical bar snacks, but surprisingly good and fitting for a menu designed to give guests something unexpected.
The shareable bites make sense for the setting. EIGHT75 is primarily a cocktail and entertainment lounge, but the provisions give guests something light to enjoy without taking away from the drinks, music, or conversation.
For locals, the newly renovated EIGHT75 offers another polished option for a night out without leaving the Mississippi Gulf Coast. For visitors staying at Beau Rivage, the experience is even more convenient: an upscale lounge, live entertainment, and thoughtfully crafted cocktails are available just downstairs from their hotel room.
Guests planning a night out can also reserve a table at EIGHT75 online through the Beau Rivage website at EIGHT75
“One of the game-changing additions to the venue is our ability to offer table reservations,” said Beau Rivage VP of Hospitality Murat Akan. “Since expanding the lounge, we can now accommodate advance reservations seven days a week, giving our loyal guests unprecedented access to the best seats in the house and elevating the experience well beyond what was possible before the renovation. Manager Tony Cline and the EIGHT75 team manage table reservations with exceptional care and hospitality, and I encourage guests to book in advance to ensure the best possible experience.”
EIGHT75 may still have the same name and address, but its new design brings a completely different energy. With nightly live music, creative cocktails and an atmosphere that feels both timeless and fresh, the Beau Rivage staple is ready to begin its next chapter on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
