So we began with a Small Plate option of Praline Pecan Bacon. Their version of candied bacon is totally unrivaled with in-house thick cut slices of bacon cooked with brown sugar, maple syrup and pecans. OMG, if it wasn’t perfection itself, I ate it with the Banana Oat Pancakes and made a sinful collaboration of my own. I enjoyed this so much I rationed it out for days as my sweet craving, and they are both gluten free! Cheli got a few to go orders of the praline bacon for her camping trip and out-glamped them all! We also favor the Avocado Toast and the Smoked Peach & Burrata Flatbread, as well as the Cinnamon Roll Skillet. The Blueberry Ricotta Pancakes and the Steak and Eggs, or the Crab Cake Benedict are as awesome as they sound too! Many more breakfast options are offered, but, I thought I might mention some tasty and tantalizing features.
We enjoyed Grits & Shrimp made from a traditional roux with andouille sausage and fresh gulf shrimp over cheese grits. Made with Grit Girl Grits, (girls raised in the south), this was some of the best grits ever, and a gravy that compliments them so well. We had the Smoked Salmon BLT on fresh sour dough bread with a garlic aioli and arugula with a fresh tomato and sweet potato chips fried to order and topped with a little brown sugar. The Panned Chicken Caprese was to die for with a flattened free range chicken breast dusted lightly in flour and Italian bread crumbs then pan fried, served over roasted garlic mash cauliflower and topped with heirloom tomatoes, burrata cheese, ribbons of basil and a balsamic reduction on the side. Wow, this is keto and gluten friendly with the amazing flavors of mamma mia’s fat girl kitchen, lol! I ate on this for like four meals and it got better every time!
