Celebrate Your True Colors at the 7th Annual Gulf Coast Equality Fest

“I think it’s important to have events like this to let people in the community know that they’re not alone and that they are supported.” Says Perkins. “It’s also LGBT history month, and we want to remember the past as we go on into the future.”

The theme of this year’s event, True Colors, encourages people to open up and be themselves whether they be lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, or otherwise. There will be vendors for art, jewelry, décor, pride merchandise, and more for you to find the perfect thing you need to help express your true self. With so much to do and so many wonderful things to enjoy, it will be easy for people of all walks of life to show up and have a great time at Harrah’s Gulf Coast. Perkins himself has one straightforward message for all attendees.

“We want everyone to know it’s okay to be yourself, and there are other people like you.”
