Ground Zero: Home of the Blues

Since it opened on Howard Avenue in Biloxi, Ground Zero Blues Club has been the number one destination for authentic blues entertainment on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. As spring rolls in, the iconic venue is gearing up for an exciting season of music, hospitality, and fresh updates that will enhance the experience for locals and visitors alike. Among the anticipated changes is the shift in hours coming this May. As the days grow longer, Ground Zero will open for lunch earlier on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, making it easier than ever to stop in for a bite, soak up the blues atmosphere, and enjoy live music.

“We’re looking at a whole new makeover starting in May with a lot of the menu items.” Says Daniel Givens, General Manager. “We’re just starting to look at more value driven items, with the current state of the economy. We know that’s important to the fixed income folks here on the coast. We want to make sure we appeal to everybody.”

Adding to the excitement, the club is introducing The Bucket Truck, an all-new third-floor experience available on Monday and Tuesday nights. Designed to channel a true dive bar feel, The Bucket Truck is set to become a unique hangout spot. The exterior stairwell will be transformed to resemble a utility truck, with the stairwell acting as the extended arm and the top of the stairs wrapped to resemble the bucket at its peak. This creative concept adds a whole new dimension to the venues already immersive atmosphere.
