CRUISE INTO BEAU RIVAGE FOR 2023 CRUISIN’ THE COAST FESTIVITIES

Visitors and locals alike are invited to cruise into Beau Rivage for a week of vintage, classic cars and fun as Coastal Mississippi hosts its 27th Annual Cruisin’ The Coast, Oct. 1-8. Dubbed “America’s Largest Block Party,” the weeklong event is expected to draw more than 9,500 vehicles from around the globe.

What began in 1996 with 374 registered cars has grown into one of the nation’s premier events for classic car enthusiasts, earning the title of Best Car Show Competition in the U.S. by readers of USA TODAY for the last four years. Last year, a record-breaking 9,618 registered vehicles from 44 states, Canada and England participated in the event that spans throughout Coastal Mississippi. Cruisers showcase their rides along 30 miles of beach-side highway that connects a number of venues showcasing live music, car shows, swap meets and vendors.

The party at Beau Rivage gets firing on all cylinders Wednesday, Oct. 4 with the Cruisin’ the Coast dance party and rolls through the weekend with The Beach Boys on Thursday and Friday, free nightly live entertainment, drink specials and dedicated parking for cruisers.
Wednesday, Oct. 4 – Cruisin’ the Coast Dance Party Featuring The Molly Ringwalds
Tease your hair and put on your favorite 80s attire for the “World’s Greatest 80s Experience,” the Molly Ringwalds. Dance the night away to a variety of genres, covering songs originally performed by artists such as Bon Jovi, Journey, Queen, David Bowie, Run DMC, 38 Special, Madonna and more. From 6-7:30 p.m., join auto enthusiasts outside of Beau Rivage Theatre for Celebrity Meet & Greet Autograph Sessions featuring Dennis Gage of “My Classic Car;” Cristy Lee of “Garage Squad” on MotorTrend TV; Host of HGTV’s “Steal This House;” Host of “Celebrity IOU Joyride” on Discovery +; Courtney Hansen, Star of MotorTrend’s “Ride of Your Life with Courtney Hansen;” and Executive Producer of “Overhaulin’’and Joe and Amanda Martin of Martin Bros. Customs and “Iron Resurrection” on MotorTrend.

Johnny Dawg of NaNaSha and the Triggerproof All Stars keep the party going from 8 p.m.- 1 a.m. in EIGHT75. Admission is free.

Friday, Oct. 6 & Saturday, Oct. 7 – The Beach Boys in the Beau Rivage Theatre
“America’s Band,” The Beach Boys, mark more than a half century of making music, the group continues to ride the crest of a wave unequalled in America’s musical history. The Beach Boys – who have become synonymous with the California lifestyle and an American icon to fans around the world – visit Beau Rivage Theatre on October 6 and 7.

The Beach Boys have sold over 100 million records worldwide and have received more than 33 RIAA Platinum and Gold record awards. The Rock and Roll Hall of Famers were also honored at the 2001 Grammy Awards with the Lifetime Achievement Award. With more than five decades of touring under their belts, The Beach Boys have performed more concerts than any major rock band in history.

The Beach Boys are led by Mike Love, who, along with longtime member Bruce Johnston, musical director Scott Totten, Brian Eichenberger, Christian Love, Tim Bonhomme, John Cowsill, Keith Hubacher and Randy Leago continue the legacy of the iconic band. This concert will not feature Brian Wilson, Al Jardine or David Marks.

Afterparty with Triggerproof in EIGHT75

Each night, head to EIGHT75 for a Cruisin’ afterparty featuring Triggerproof, putting a variety of favorites from pop, rock and hip-hop through the musical blender to recreate both popular and classic radio-friendly hits.

Troubadour Thursday and Unplugged Friday in Black Clover Lounge
Black Clover Lounge offers live music from 6 -10 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 5, and Friday, Oct. 6, as part of an ongoing showcase of local acts. Gulf Coast acoustic duo Matt & Amber perform on Troubadour Thursday, while rock and country artist Sam Donald takes the microphone for Unplugged Friday.

Tumbler Giveaway

Guests earning 200 Slot points between 12 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4 and 7:50 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7, can print a voucher redeemable for a Cruisin’ the Coast logoed tumbler. Vouchers may be redeemed from 2 –6 p.m. each day at the Events Desk, located in the non-smoking area.
Throughout the week of Cruisin’ the Coast, Beau Rivage will offer dedicated cruiser parking on the second floor of the parking garage and cruisers can enjoy an $8 specialty cocktail menu at BetMGM Book Bar & Grill and EIGHT75.
