“We wanted to create a communal gathering place for Ocean Springs and we’ve had people tell us ‘well this is just like Ocean Springs living room!’ That is exactly what we wanted. You come out on a Friday and there’s a little bit of music, a bunch of kids running around the courtyard, someone sitting there with their puppy- this is every age range and that’s what we wanted.” Says Oropesa. “Ocean Springs is a family environment, this is not a party scene or a late night spot by design. We wanted this to be family friendly and we wanted to have a place where everyone can hang out and get together. When I come out here I see everybody that I know, and I enjoy being able to come to a spot where everyone gets to hang out and be together. That’s what this space is for, and it was designed by locals for locals.”
