Everything is curated for the VIP gaming experience.” I sit across from Scarlet Pearl’s Vice President of Non-Gaming Operations Dennis Pearse, a handsome and enthusiastic man who eagerly explains to me the day-to-day workings of the Orchid Room – Elevated Gaming experience and the VIP Lounge, a luxury player’s lounge. Moments earlier when he showed me to the lounge guests greeted him by name, revealing his stalwart dedication to those he serves. He is friendly, but serious about providing a luxury experience to the casino’s guests.
We are having our conversation in the VIP Lounge, which is available to EIP and Scarlet tier guests. I can’t help but feel as though it is the single most luxurious place, I have ever had the privilege to set foot in. Black and white Chevron marble tiles make up a snazzy zigzag pattern on the floor, contrasting delightfully with dark green upholstery on the chairs and the matching patterned entrance wall. The gravity-defying bar we’re sitting at curves all the way into the ceiling. It has a beautiful and pristinely kept marble bar top, across from which bartenders in cummerbunds serve up crafted cocktails, and signature drinks like their Gone with the Gin, or the Frankly My Dear. This bar area is but one of three sections in the VIP Lounge, the others being a lush dining area and a plush parlor. The dining room also offers an elegant buffet bar with salad, signature soups, the finest cured meats and cheeses, and assorted desserts. The Parlor, exclusively for EIP members, is a luxury lounge area inspired by the private clubs of the 1900s where guests can relax and enjoy a curated cocktail or have a cigar.
