We See You: Women Leading Gulf Coast Gaming Debut

Regional leadership brunch will spotlight, connect, and elevate women shaping the future of Gulf Coast gaming

A new regional leadership initiative, We See You: Women Leading Gulf Coast Gaming, will launch on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Silver Slipper Casino Hotel in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.

The inaugural event will bring together approximately 100 female executives, directors, managers, and emerging leaders from casino and hospitality organizations throughout Mississippi and Louisiana for a leadership brunch centered on recognition, mentorship, visibility, and connection.

Founded by LuAnn Pappas, Cathy Beeding, and Angi Truebner-Webb, We See You was created to celebrate the women already leading across Gulf Coast gaming while helping open doors for the next generation of female leaders.

“Women across Gulf Coast gaming are leading teams, building businesses, mentoring others, solving problems, and shaping the guest experience every day,” said Truebner-Webb, VP & General Manager of Silver Slipper Casino Hotel. “This event was created to say very clearly: we see you, we value you, and we want to help create stronger connections across our industry.”

The program will feature keynote speaker Brandi Ellis, Vice President of Global Gaming Women, a national organization dedicated to supporting, educating, and advancing women in the gaming industry. Ellis will speak on leadership, confidence, visibility, mentorship, and the importance of building networks that help women grow throughout their careers.

In addition to the keynote address, the event will include a founder-led panel discussion with Pappas, Beeding, and Truebner-Webb. The discussion will highlight leadership journeys, lessons learned, representation in gaming, mentorship, and the responsibility established leaders have to recognize and support emerging talent.

The event is designed for both accomplished female executives and rising leaders who have been nominated by their property leadership. Organizers hope the inaugural gathering becomes an annual tradition for the Gulf Coast gaming community.

“This is more than a brunch,” said Truebner-Webb. “It is the beginning of a regional movement focused on women supporting women, leaders recognizing talent, and properties across the Gulf Coast working together to strengthen the future of gaming leadership.”

The inaugural We See You: Women Leading Gulf Coast Gaming event is made possible through the support of founding sponsors, industry partners, and local businesses who share the mission of recognizing and elevating women in gaming and hospitality. Early supporters include industry partners such as IGT/Everi and U.S. Bank, along with local community supporters including 100 North Beach Restaurant and La Terre Farms, among others.

The June 9 event will be held at Silver Slipper Casino Hotel’s Blue Bayou Restaurant and will include brunch, networking, keynote remarks, a panel discussion, and meaningful opportunities for women across the industry to connect.
