Summer is over, and while the kids are getting back to school we begin to hit something of a slow season here in South Mississippi. Tourism dies down just a little bit, and things move just a bit more slowly. It can be easy to let ennui set in when the days off work just tick by and everything seems to be so unfortunately expensive. But that’s where Big Play comes in, with their new line up of deals just in time for the football season! I sat down with Brandon Wooldridge and Taylor Thorne of Big Play to talk about all of the wonderful things they’re doing for the fall season.
“We do it every year,” says Wooldridge, owner. “After Labor Day, football season kicks off and we kinda shift gears, football stuff going on during the week as well as big group events and birthday parties.”
“The birthday parties definitely pick up at this time!” Chimes in Thorne, Sales Manager. “We get pretty fully booked.”
Obviously there’s everything you’d expect from Big Play, with its bowling lanes, arcade, and go-karts, but what really shines during the football season is the full service bar with plenty of screens for watching all of your favorite teams. For this season, Big Play is offering big deals, including a $3 pint and burger menu on Thursdays. For $3 each, you can get a double smash burger and a nice mug of cold beer to enjoy your game.
