The Seared Catch of the Day – Swordfish on this evening, grilled and seared so that the juices don’t escape, a mellow fish, a large slab, topped with crawfish tails served on Rice Pilaf with Crystal (hot sauce) butter. Yum, there is nothing that beats a fantastic grilled fish in my opinion! Eggplant parmesan – angel hair pasta topped with marinara and cheesy fried eggplant, served with garlic cheese toast, tasty and filling, hard to believe it’s totally meatless. The Chicken Picatta – boneless breast of chicken, paneed in a delicious breading topped with lemon beurre blanc over tender but not overdone fettuccine with capers and parmesan, so good, that’s what’s for lunch today! (Can’t wait!)
From Our Butcher offers an 8 ounce or 12 ounce Filet, a 16 ounce Prime Ribeye, a 24 ounce Prime Ribeye (Cowboy Cut), a 14 ounce New York Strip, all served with your choice of salad. Cheli and I both loved the Wedge with ours, their Danish Bleu Cheese is very mild and exquisitely tasty. Outside of what we sampled from the Edge menu they offer a Blue Bayou Seafood Pasta, a Rack of Lamb, and a Fried Shrimp and/or Oyster platter. We covered all the other options either with appetizers or the inclusive menu. Everything we ate was phenomenal!
For dessert we had warm chocolate cake served with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce, pecan pie with vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce, and Cheli had the Crème Brulee. All paired perfectly with our Millionaires Coffee. The Pecan Pie was wonderful again for breakfast with my dessert coffee at home!
The Blue Bayou is open Wednesday through Sunday with a Sunday Brunch. We always love visiting the Silver Slipper, it is definitely worth the drive! So, come on down!
