Pepe´s Bosque: Happy Cinco de Mayo everybody! 

Coming to you again from Pepe’s El Bosque we are hoping that you are all celebrating Cinco de Mayo with a margarita and a taco, or, whatever your favorite Mexican cuisine may be!  MS Lillian Lopez has been working her tail off running the restaurant along side her poppy who still slays it in the kitchen.  We love our dear friends and have been loyal customers for a couple of decades now, and, love the excellent traditional in-land as well coastal entrees.  Someone asked me recently, “who orders shrimp at a Mexican restaurant?!”  My reply was, “anyone who realizes that most of the country is surrounded by oceans!”  Lol, I love it all and could eat at Pepe’s several times a month and enjoy something different every time!

    The Chel, Mel, and Kel trio always start with the Shrimp Queso with peppers and onions served with flour tortillas.  Yes, it’s messy, but so freaking amazing!  I also love the Chori-Queso with chorizo (Mexican sausage), and more queso, anyway you want to give it to me!  I habitually visit the salsa bar and get the marinated peppers (I found four kinds of peppers) and onions and the chipotle ranch to go with my chips and salsa, with eight different delightful choices and heats to kick-it-up a notch.
