Glory Bound Gyro Co.: Eat Gyros, Be Happy!

With eight flavors of hummus to choose from and five salad selections to choose from, we opted for the Salad and Hummus plate.  A fabulous Greek salad – romaine and spring mix with grape tomatoes, onion, cucumber, black olives, queen and kalamata olives, bell pepper, feta and Greek vinaigrette, add chicken, lamb or beef, steak or shrimp, with two of your favorite hummus selections and warm pita.  I have found my new favorite salad accompanied with Roasted Red Pepper and Jalapeno-Cilantro hummus.  Yummm!  They also offer a Chicken Penne, Chicken Spinach, or Buffalo Chicken Salad.  Other craft hummus flavors include Chipotle-Lime, Garlic-Basil, Mediterranean Olive, Spicy Cajun or Spinach-Pesto.

Glory Bound offers plates: a Gyro Pate with your favorite protein, hummus, pita, lettuce, onions, tzatziki and grilled veggies; the Mediterranean Plate with your choice of meat, rosemary cream sauce, rice pilaf, hummus, and grilled veggies; the Falafel Plate with five falafel, hummus, pita, lettuce, onions, tzatziki and grilled veggies; and a Tuna Plate with seared Ahi tuna, rice pilaf, hummus, pita and grilled veggies.

The Gyro options are all tasty versions of the original lamb, lettuce and onions and tzatziki folded in warm pita bread.  We had the Pepperjack – add pepperjack cheese and bacon to the original.  We also had the Chicken Spinach Pesto – grilled and diced chicken with spinach pesto, lettuce, onions and feta cheese.  I know we both loved these Greek sandwiches, both tender, juicy and loaded with amazing flavors.  All the other options sound just as tempting, with something for everyone’s preferences.  They have a lot to choose from including Pesto Pepperjack, Steak, Feta Steak, Surf-n-Turf, Chicken, Chicken Bacon Ranch, Buffalo Chicken, Comeback – with ground beef, Italian- with beef or lamb, mushrooms, onion, bell pepper, pepperoni, mozzarella and marinara, BBQ Ranch, Club and Veggie.  All gyros have a gluten free option, are served with hand-cut fries and a second side. We had the Pasta Salad, and it was a tug on my memories of the days when that was a salad and met our “diet” requirements. It was really great with a zesty kick.  If you are following the Mediterranean diet, I am sure with some will power you can find many options to meet those requirements, LOL!!!
