Breakfast-ish all day, we began with a perfect Quiche – sausage kale and cheddar with a nice fresh salad on the side, it was perfect! The other quiche option of butternut squash and goat cheese sounds equally amazing. Other choices from the Plates section include Egg Breakfast Plate with two eggs fried or scrambled and a simple biscuit, or the Full Breakfast Plate- two eggs, bacon or sausage and a simple biscuit. There’s a Simple Biscuit Plate as well as a Biscuit and Lox Plate- toasted open faced with capers, onion fluff, lox, and more capers on top. All plates are served with fresh fruit and fixins’ for your biscuit such as seasonal jam, honey butter, daily fluff, pimento cheese, peanut butter, Nutella and honey. Then there’s Egg Sammies: Egg & Cheese Biscuit Sammy with a fried egg and provolone; Sweet Potato Biscuit Sammy with ham, pimento cheese, and we slammed this one with scrambled egg; Bacon Cheddar Biscuit Sammy – bacon, cheddar with lettuce, tomato, grainy mustard and a fried egg; Candied Bacon Biscuit Sammy was my very favorite with candied bacon, spiced pecan goat cheese and mixed berry jam with an egg on top. The Egg and Cheese Sammy is served on toast. The white bread served at the Greenhouse is really thick and hearty, between Texas toast and sourdough, I loved it!
