“Being from New Orleans I feel like it’s just in my blood and it’s what comes the most natural to me, it’s what feels the best,” he explained, before quipping “…and my last name’s ‘Blue.'”
A video clip posted to TikTok by a chance passer-by went viral, and again, Jourdan’s life changed. Inspired by the attention and positive feedback, he decided to harness the social media outlet for himself, started posting on the regular, and spent the next several months building up to the rich following he has today. An advocate for mental health and societal well-being, connecting with people is a key part of what Jourdan does.
“I’m shocked that that is my reality at this point,” he said, speaking of his regular livestreams which will often climb into the thousands of viewers. Getting online and instantly reaching that many people is something that brings Jourdan a lot of joy.
Jourdan’s next chapter involves a lot of studio time, as he intends to lay down some of his own material that he’s been working on recently. In due time, old and new fans of his live performances can look forward to Jourdan Blue stepping out as an original recording artist. Will be playing poolside at Hard Rock Biloxi on Sunday, July 21st and will also be appearing at some private events. The Hard Rock show is open to the public as a part of their Tequila Sundays pool party, and will be an official Coast Observer 25th Anniversary celebration. The festivities include music from DJ San D and Angel Le Bon on stage keeping the energy high. Jourdan will be bringing a bunch of that musical variety and the high quality performance he is known for to share for this special appearance. The party runs from noon to six.
