High Energy Rock & Roll
Coming out of lower Alabama to spread their sounds across the greater Gulf Coast region, Disco Kiss has spent the last five years celebrating all things rock & roll in a grand fashion. They take inspiration from the great arena bands of decades past and present, aiming to deliver a live experience that is big, fun, and full of all the visual and sonic power that a band can pack into our area’s venues. A rock tribute that holds something for rockers of any age, they’ve appeared at clubs, outdoor festivals, special events, and anywhere that needs a party cranked up with style.
“We’re concerned about people having a great time,” said drummer Greg Owens. “We’re more of a ‘pressed to the front of the stage, fist in the air’ kind of live show. It’s all about excitement.”
Disco Kiss’ musical catalog is large and carefully selected. The band is there to entertain the people, and they know where to draw their music from. You’ll hear selections from many of the biggest bands to ever grace a stage, although, the songs they play might not always be the first ones that come to mind when you think of a certain band. There’s always room for a little surprise in each show.
Depending on what date you catch them, you might catch a different theme to a Disco Kiss show. They offer four different types of tribute shows that showcase different aspects of their repertoire. “Decades of Rock” features the band playing decade-specific sets of music from the 70s, 80s, 90s, and into the 2000s… a sort of live musical journey through time. “Make America Rock Again,” features selections only from American artists. “80’s vs ’90s Arena Rock” focuses on some of the hottest jams of those two decades. “Legends of Rock,” showcases blocks of songs from some of the absolute biggest and most influential artists in rock & roll, such as The Beatles, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Aerosmith and more. Whatever flavor they are serving on any given date, each show is consistent in quality: specially pre-planned set lists are crafted to take the onlooker on a seamless journey through the songs, while the band’s emphasis on their physical energy and high powered stage production deliver a righteous rock and roll spectacle.
