With the album under their belts, Love Story’s End has embarked on regional tours, hit festival stages, and joined bills with high profile national acts such as Soulfly, P.O.D, August Burns Red, Godsmack, Framing Hanley and more. A number of local and regional players have joined Hagler as part of Love Story’s End over the years, with recent lineups including pros like bassist Corey McCollough, drummer Cameron Alidor (who is currently recovering from a roadside vehicle strike – best wishes Cameron!) and members of the band Year of the Vulture. Regardless of who is on stage at any particular show, many headbanging fans have come to look forward to joining in with the band’s feral live energy, the most keen of whom can often be found chanting “WAKE ME AT THE WITCHING HOUR – DEVOUR – DEVOUR” at the breakdown of the fan favorite “Where Wings Ignite.”

During the 2020 lockdown, Love Story’s End dropped the single “My Mind Has Wings,” which is an early track pulled from the demo album and is the only song of that group to be officially released to date. It joins the 2013 single release of “Nothing Compares 2 U,” which is LSE’s hard rockin’ take on the Sinead O’Connor/ Prince mega hit.
Recently, Hagler has been presenting a different side of Love Story’s End’s music in the form of solo acoustic performances, a trend that will be continuing through 2023 in between regular LSE shows.
“It’s been a great response to playing acoustic. It took a while to work my nerve up, it’s totally different,” said Hagler, explaining that the acoustic format allows people who might not normally seek out heavier music to find something in Love Story’s End. “I think if you make a heavy song and it holds up acoustic, that says a lot about the worth of the song, that it can translate and reach people sort of in a different place.”
Those who have attended recent performances or kept a close ear out around the scene may have caught onto the fact that, for the first time in several years, Love Story’s End has new music on the way. Hagler’s acoustic set has included new tunes such as “Overcoming the Obstacle” and the eerie-yet-catchy sounding “Dark Heart.”
