One Thirty One Lameuse

Downtown Biloxi is widely known for its local bar and restaurant scene. Nightlife, casinos, bars, and restaurants is what draws tourists and locals to our beachy downtown area. In the heart of Biloxi’s downtown sits a locally owned craft bar and restaurant filled with industrial aesthetics and New Orleans influenced cuisine known as One Thirty One Lameuse.

One Thirty One Lameuse opened its doors 3 years ago with the plan to bring Biloxi a casual, yet elevated bar and restaurant experience that gives you those soulful New Orleans vibes. From the Jazz Fest poster collection beautifully framed and dressing the walls to the etouffee and gumbo on the menu, they did not miss the mark with this plan.

What sets One Thirty One apart from any other creole coastal themed restaurants on the Mississippi Gulf Coast? One Thirty One Lameuse stays updating their menu seasonally to make sure you can indulge in the best bites for that season. The chef at One Thirty One makes sure to stay up on what is in for the season and uses his creative arts to make sure you have an amazing, tasty experience every time you dine in. The new Fall menu drops this month with featured dishes you will not want to miss; for example, the stuffed duck dish is a warming elevated spin on a Thanksgiving dinner plate with a crispy duck breast stuffed with a Cajun cornbread stuffing topped with a cranberry gastrique on a bed of sweet potato mash and a side of garlic buttered broccolini. Yum!!!

One Thirty One Lameuse also offers chargrilled oysters as a featured starter before your meal that has guests always coming back for more. When ordering the chargrilled oysters, I highly recommend trying the Oyster Trio; 18 chargrilled oysters dressed in their 3 signature flavors of garlic parmesan, bacon gouda, and oyster Rockefeller. Recommended to go with your oysters is a fresh, crisp glass of champagne. The pairing is delightful, and you will not be able to have oysters any other way again.

Dinner is not the only meal that One Thirty One Lameuse takes to a whole other level, brunch is out of this world! From their signature starter Duck Poppers smothered in an over easy egg to the new Fall dish pumpkin stuffed French toast to the mimosa flight where you receive a bottle of champagne and your choice of 3 juices, One Thirty One’s Saturday and Sunday mornings are buzzing. Brunch hours run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and sometimes have live music to really kick your weekend off right!
