os1515 Downtown: Art, Culture, and Inspired Living.

In Ocean Springs, creativity isn’t confined to studios or galleries- it’s in the architecture, the food, the air itself. At os1515 Downtown, now open and ready to receive, that spirit is distilled into one thoughtfully designed address where hospitality, design, and culture meet in quiet harmony.

Located along Government Street, os1515 Downtown earns the attention it has so readily received. The property is a modern mix of boutique hotel, luxury lofts, and a chef-driven food hall, all designed with a sense of flow and intention. Its property shares a storied and fascinating history as the former E.R. Moore & co. garment factory, and boasts architecture that details the evolution of Ocean Springs itself. It’s the kind of place where the details do the talking: natural light through large windows, local artwork curated with care, and textures that invite you to slow down.

“This is the history of Ocean Springs in architecture.” Says Sara Oropesa, Community Outreach lead for the project. “The building on the west corner is the Iberville building and that is a tribute to the French heritage of Ocean Springs. We are where the French landed in 1699 to explore the gulf coast region, and so that’s in honor of them and it’s a New Orleans inspired design. Then the center structure, we call ‘the warehouse,’ is an industrial architectural style, which is a nod to the garment factory that existed on this property. The hotel is a different design, a different architect. The idea is that the history of Ocean Springs is that this town was founded with tourists coming for the medicinal springs of the 1850’s. The most popular hotel, the biggest one, was the Ocean Springs hotel and that’s what the city is named after- that hotel. So the hotel is our foundation, and our future. It’s a more contemporary style, so that one’s kind of looking in to our future.”
