Sweetie: Live Across the Coast

“It meant a lot to me that I get with people I could be really good friends with… Me, Simon and Jon, we all just bonded overnight. The band is not about how good everybody is, it’s about how much you like each other…” Perkins explained before laughing a bit. “It is about how good you are a little bit.”

Sweetie currently has three featured videos on their website and social media pages, performing their versions of a few well known tunes. The most recent of which is Weezer’s “Say It Ain’t So,” which is set to the band playing and engaging in some late night downtown shenanigans at Ocean Springs’ The Government Street Grocery. In addition to these and their arsenal of party songs and other covers, the band has been growing their collection of originals, both pre-existing and new.

“Zack came into this band with a lot of really successful original content that he wanted a better platform to work on, and I did as well,” said Simon.”Once we actually got together and started working more closely with each other, we ended up writing a lot of really fantastic music together.”
