The fish was lightly breaded, with a fluffy inside that melted in the mouth. That is how it was described to me by my sweetheart and it, like my ribeye, was served with fries that were crisp and golden on the outside with a satisfyingly soft and buttery inside. The ribeye was also served with a piece of garlic bread.
The time came for me to pick up my knife and fork and taste the ribeye I had ordered. I often eat my steak with A-1 sauce, as is my preference, but I found it appropriate to first try the steak as it came to me. It was served topped with a dollop of a compound herb butter, medium rare to the specification of my order. I bit in to it and immediately felt the satisfaction that can only be that had by a man knowing the taste of a goodly cooked steak. I did not find that I needed my favored A-1 sauce this time around, as I made it halfway through the steak before remembering it was sitting on our table.
As we both finished our food we sat at our table full and satisfied. My wife and I had beaten both the summer heat and the hunger that brought us in. We observed a smiling and friendly staff, we partook of delectable southern delights, and we had a lovely meal that I would recommend to any local, tourist, or potential patron looking for good eats in a cozy, reasonably priced, and positive environment.
