The band is currently riding high off their recent acoustic tour, which received solid praise from fans in attendance. “I think we really surprised a lot of people,” said frontman Tyler Connolly of the band’s big and full sound, which a member of their team described as “aggressively acoustic.” When prepping for the tour, the band had the idea of reimagining their 2014 Savages album track “Livin’ My Life Like a Country Song” for the acoustic format. As they got into it however, they started to get a different feeling for the song. After country singer Cory Marks’ team reached out to the band, a new collab was born and the 2024 single version of “Livin’ My Life Like a Country Song” dropped, featuring an overall chunkier sound and a fun lively energy. It is, as Connolly says, “more Theory.”
The Beau Rivage date follows their tour kickoff appearance at Welcome to Rockville in Daytona, another favorite event of our Coast Observer team. Those who are in attendance at Rockville and those in Biloxi will likely catch two different types of Theory performances.

“Those festival shows are a lot of fun,” Connolly said of the huge crowds, jam packed lineups, and sometimes more limited set times. “Those shows are always like ‘let’s show these people what we got,’ where our own shows are just like… we want to show the people what they paid for… they want to hear the hits, and they maybe want to hear songs that we don’t play alot. So it is a completely different vibe.”
