When putting together a headlining show, it’s never set in stone what makes the cut for a setlist. “It’s about personal preference,” Connolly explained, adding that they often like to kick in harder songs such as the Dinosaur track “Ambulance” along with the established fan favorites. “We’ve never really chased a sound… It’s just whatever the band vibes with.”
Theory of a Deadman’s next album is well into the writing process and ready to record for a 2026 release, keeping with the band’s long running tendency to drop an album every three years. Even with such a steady writing and recording schedule, Theory’s touring days are focused on just putting on the best rock show the band can throw down.
“When I’m on tour I’m on tour,” Connolly said. “I find touring is actually a vacation away from my creative mind… It’s just kind of fun time. We play shows and I don’t try to write. When I get home… that’s when my brain starts buzzing.”

“We love the fans down there,” he added of the southern dates. “Some of our first touring was down in the south with 3 Doors Down… Mississippi, Florida. That’s actually where we cut our teeth… So we’re just excited to go back and see some of our fans down in the south where it all kind of started.”
