Tristan Alizé

Alizé has a sound that draws from those bluegrass roots he mentioned, but he isn’t specifically tied to the genre. He likes to play a variety of country and old school rock and roll jams as well. You might hear a few of his personal favorites like his renditions of Tony Rice’s “Freeborn Man,” Pink Floyd’s “Time,” or some Tyler Childers selections mixed in with the dozens of covers at his disposal, as well as a few of his new original songs that he has been developing, such as “Familiar” and “Alcoholic”. He is often found keeping things simple, singing and strumming an acoustic guitar, perhaps with a bit of live looping backup or some guest appearances. Other times, he cranks up the electric six string to make a little more noise when in the right company. Whichever flavor, the once-newcomer seems to have found a place for his sound.

Alizé has played recently at good eating and easy listening hangouts like Bacchus on the Bayou, Captain Al’s, Lady May and the Julep Room. He’ll be making his debut this month at Rooftop Taco and Tequila Bar as well as a return to Lafitte’s, and there are plenty more appearances to come as we roll into the spring.
