Hang Loose at Hangout

Nestled in caravans strategically placed throughout the grounds are these little pockets of nostalgic paradise that absolutely take you back to summers in the sun, on the beach. I always love seeing the vendors switch up and change out each year, and this year was probably one of my favorites (looking at you, bbq loaded fries). Artisan drinks with blue hues and shark souvenir garnish, spiked slushies and some of the freshest fruity popsicles I’ve ever had keep you hydrated and cool in the Alabama sun. The Slurpee Truck (if you were quick enough!) gave me absolute life as I sweat out my body weight in water and lectrolytes in the heat. And just for clarification, yes, I ate an embarrassingly large amount of chocolate on Friday (thanks M&M’s Sweet Tour), and I don’t regret it one bit.

I spend a lot of time between sets rolling around to see the different art installations and vibe areas. First, I want to say that the Great Lawn was an awesome addition to the Hangout space.
Sometimes you don’t want to sit in the hot sand and watch the bands and that’s okay! I parked down to people watch, and saw lots of lounging and relaxation happening.

The Wedding Chapel is always one of the highlights of the festival for me, and I make it a point to try and swing by and wish at least one happy couple the best of vibes. This year it was a couple dressed up like peanut butter and jelly, and if that doesn’t scream match made in Heaven, love is dead.

Between the weather and set times, I didn’t make it over to the EVA NYC Tropical Spa, but I saw their handiwork all around in the hair and on the faces of festival goers. Glitter, colorful braids, face jewels and more had party goers shining in the sun as they screamed along to our Midwest Queen, Chappel Roan.
